Profile & Preferences controls how you sign in, whether the API is on, and which addresses get rate sheets and balance alerts. You can also message sellers and review them from their profile.

How do I change my preferences?#

  1. Go to Settings → Profile & Preferences, or click your avatar in the top bar.
The Account Preferences page with Login Settings, System Settings and Company Profile
  1. Change the fields you need (see the table below).
  2. Click Update Preferences.

You'll see "Your profile has been updated." If you changed your Public, NOC, Rates or Billing email, TelecomsXchange also sends a "TCXC Email change notification" to your main email.

These are the sections on the page:

Section What you can set
Profile Image Upload New Photo: PNG only, 278x278 px recommended. Until you upload one, your avatar shows the first letter of your login
Login Settings New Password and Confirm Password (at least 8 characters; leave blank to keep the current one). Login Username, Email Address, SMS Phone and RMD Number are shown for reference; ask support@telecomsxchange.com to change them.
Security Settings Enable Two-Step Verification (a texted code at sign-in) and Login Timeout (minutes): the idle time after which you're logged out. 0 means never. The new value applies to your current session as soon as you save.
System Settings Send Daily Statistics Email, Max Allowed Price, your API Key and Allow API Access. Clicking Regenerate replaces the key immediately, without Update Preferences; update any integration that uses the old one. See Use the API.
Company Profile Company and contact details, Public Email, NOC Email, Rates Email, Billing / Accounting Email and Rates Subject Template

To put several addresses in Rates Email, NOC Email or Billing / Accounting Email, separate them with commas and no spaces, for example rates@example.com,noc@example.com.

Web users (team members) see a shorter page: they can change their own password and two-step verification only. The photo, Login Timeout and company settings belong to the main account.

Tip

Use Rates Subject Template to make rate emails easy to filter, for example [TCXC rates] {{seller}} / {{route}}. The variables are {{seller}}, {{route}} and {{product}} (Voice or SMS).

How do I message a seller?#

  1. Click a seller's name in Market View or My Interconnections. Their Vendor Profile opens, with company information, Member Since, an Available Routes table (each route with its capacity, a Download Tariff icon and a Purchase Route icon) and Reviews with the average rating, for example "4.5/5.0 (12 reviews)".
  2. Click Send Message.
  3. Enter a Subject and your message.
  4. Click Send Message.

The seller gets an email about your message, and you'll see it in your Sent messages. If the seller is anonymous, the message still reaches them and their name stays hidden; in your inbox they appear as "Anonymous Owner of Route name" (or "Anonymous Owner of DID Number n").

How do I read and answer messages?#

  1. Click the envelope icon in the top bar. A red badge shows how many messages are unread.
  2. Choose Inbox or Sent.
  3. Click Read next to a message. Messages from TelecomsXchange staff show the sender TelecomsXchange, and a reply shows an In Reply To link to the message it answers.
  4. Type your answer under Reply to this Message and click Send Reply.

You can reply only to messages addressed to you (not to your own sent messages). The seller gets an email about your reply; replies to TelecomsXchange staff stay in the portal. Replies to an anonymous seller are marked "(Anonymously)".

How do I review a seller?#

  1. Open the seller's Vendor Profile.
  2. Under Leave Feedback, choose a Rating from 5 - Excellent to 1 - Poor.
  3. Write Your Review (more than 3 characters).
  4. Click Submit Review.

Your review appears under Reviews on the seller's profile, where other buyers can read it.

How do I add team members?#

The main user goes to Settings → Web Users and clicks Invite New User; roles, blocking users and the Logs → Web Access log are covered in Invite your team and review who logged in.
